In 2025, Vilnius is proud to hold the title of European Green Capital, and the initiatives being implemented in the city to mark this occasion will leave a lasting legacy for both the community and the environment. One such initiative is the creation of a new urban forest along Batoro Street, in which MESO Group actively participated.
Spanning 10 hectares, the new forest will make a vital contribution to increasing biodiversity, improving the city’s microclimate, and creating a more sustainable environment for Vilnius residents and future generations.
This meaningful project was carried out through a joint effort with the Vilnius City Municipality, 30 Vilnius-based businesses, and as many as 800 volunteers, who planted 1,600 trees during spring and fall community workdays. This is a wonderful example of how a united business community and the public can bring about real change for the city’s future.
We are proud that MESO Group was part of this initiative. Our company’s logo is featured on the forest’s informational signs at the two main entrances, and MESO Group is also listed among the sponsors of “A Gift to Vilnius,” as announced on the Vilnius City Municipality website.
